Mount Carmel Health System Graduate Medical Education Department is seeking two full-time, dynamic and academically focused OB/GYN hospitalists to join our growing team in Columbus, Ohio, providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic care across three hospital sites, with a strong emphasis on resident education and high-risk pregnancy management.


Job Description:

  • Provide in-house coverage as a full-time OB/GYN hospitalist across three hospital campuses (one site per day)
  • Staff residents on Labor & Delivery (L&D), serving as in-house OB hospitalist
  • Perform gynecologic surgeries, including hysterectomy, and manage clinic patients
  • Manage medically complex, high-risk pregnancies and perform advanced obstetrical surgeries
  • Supervise and teach residents during clinical care and didactic sessions
  • Collaborate with Graduate Medical Education (GME) teams to enhance resident education and curricula
  • Provide care in L&D units and emergency situations, ensuring quality, timely obstetrical care
  • Work 12-hour shifts covering days and nights, including weekend rotations and holiday coverage in a scheduled rotation system
  • Participate in system-wide OB hospitalist roles and contribute to continuous improvement of care delivery
  • Engage with the community and support Mount Carmel�s mission to provide excellent care, including to underserved populations

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Comprehensive benefits starting from day 1 of employment
